The Shoutbox is a ((module)) that can be placed in either column of Tiki. It is like an instant message service specific to the site itself.
Shoutbox is very useful as a means for site participants to communicate with each other. Shoutbox does not currently parse ((wiki syntax)), which might be a ((feature request)).
It would also be nice to use Shoutbox for individual ((groups)), but that feature does not exist, for a small fee or a large thank you you might be able to get a tiki developer to do that.
